I was just sent an email about the 260 day cycle in the Mayan calendar coming to an end last week; coinciding with the total solar eclipse July 22nd. I don't know much about the Mayans, but what it meant to me was this... There are so many calenders out there... Any day can be a new beginning! A new year!...
Shakti Life Kitchen is riding the wave of new birth. We have made new sandwiches while keeping some old favorites. We have added many new juices and smoothies for these hot summer dayze!.... All organic all delicious..... full of Joy and Hope and Love. Come transform with us! .. and,,, (this is the clincher)... together we change the larger picture... the global reality. We gave our second live food class here at Shakti last Tuesday July 21st! It was a great success. Thanks to all who came and enjoyed. The class learned how to prepare "Chips, Wraps, and Breads" using the dehydrator.
We will be posting upcoming classes soon. Please stay check our website for frequent updates or join our newsletter!
Much Love to you on your journey today!.. and remember... everyday is a new day... every hour,... every minute! Let's make it a yummy fun one!!
For about 2 years, I have been on and off the raw diet, and it has been really hard to stick with it as I was lacking ideas on what to prepare. Then I met raw Chef Adam in January 09 who really inspired me and got me started into the raw live food lifestyle again. My weak area is sweets! I love chocolate and anything sweet. He advised I go visit Shakti Life Kitchen for some wonderful desserts! Since I've tried the live food at Shakti, I have been "addicted", and I know it's so healthy for me, so it makes me feel good. I organize the monthly Vegan / Vegetarian Meetup group, and I'd like to have our gatherings at Shakti every couple of months. Last meetup was at Shakti and we were 27 people and had a great time. The food is absolutely delicious - when I go there, I relax, enjoy my food, eat slowly, chew well, and feel alive! I am so glad Shakti opened and I wish you much success in spreading the word about this great lifestyle :)
